I had been a single mom for 14 years. Four amazing boys. Gosh, I was so blessed with my boys! I worked a full-time job plus multiple part-time jobs to support us financially.

At 40 years old, I had a stroke. Paralyzed. In the hospital for weeks. My boys picked up all the pieces.Got themselves to school every day, worked their part-time jobs, made sure Colton (my youngest, autistic son) was taken care of, and took care of me - doctor appointments, therapy, did my hair, fixed the meals, taught me how to drive again... all the things!

I decided then that I had to do something more. I finally got back to work six months later, and was back to full-time within eight months. But, I needed more.

I decided to go into direct sales. I promise, it's not a bad word like you might have thought. In fact, it has saved me. Literally saved me.

I began doing my makeup. Taking care of my skin. Taking pictures of my crooked face. Going LIVE! It was slow for years. SLOW. But I'm still here.

In the last few months, I have dived deep into personal and professional development, recommitted to ME and my goals, learned and learned as much as I could, and have realized that this little thing has done SO much! Occupational therapy! Hand and eye coordination. Learning to love this face of mine just as it is! Building confidence in teaching and speaking. (I'll always be a hot mess express, but that's OK!)
